How To Gain The Maximum Health Benefits From Trans Resveratrol
Trans Resveratrol is a supplement which is used to reduce the risk of heart disease and even cancer. There is even a belief that it can help to slow down the aging process although this can never be fully proven. Recent tests have shown that resveratrol is highly effective against cancer and heart disease. The tests which were carried out to demonstrate the supplement's effectiveness against aging were performed on small animals, which obviously have a completely different physiology to a human being. Whether the results would be duplicated with human beings remains unknown.
The opportunity has never existed for tests to be carried out over a long enough period of time to demonstrate whether or not these results would be duplicated. Even if the time had been available, the experiments would have been pretty much worthless because there is no accurate way to measure how much a body has aged. You cannot determine how much the body would have aged had the supplement not been used. Using resveratrol as an anti aging system is something you can only do on trust, as there can never be any real evidence to back this up.
Using resveratrol against heart disease is something which you can do with a lot more confidence, as there are plenty of scientific tests to back up the claims. The effect on the cholesterol levels of people undergoing the tests was dramatic, and two-fold. Firstly, the levels of the bad cholesterol, known as low density lipoproteins, fell dramatically. Then, the levels of high density lipoproteins, which are a form of beneficial cholesterol, got higher.
Whether or not you decide to buy trans resveratrol will depend on your situation, both financial and medical. If you are someone who is fundamentally in good health, you may well decide to simply take in resveratrol as part of your normal diet. You can do this by eating dark skinned grapes or by drinking red wine. Make sure if you do go down this road that you are consuming the correct varieties. The grapes need to be dark purple skinned, or dark red skinned. If you can get a wine which comes from a humid region such as New York State, this will have a higher concentration of resveratrol.
If you are in a high-risk group for heart disease, or some related degenerative illness, then taking a supplement in the form of trans resveratrol is probably sensible. Just be sure to realize that taking a supplement on its own is not a miracle prescription to health. You need to look after other areas of your life, by reducing the intake of chemicals which exacerbate aging to the greatest possible degree. If you smoke, for example, you will simply be canceling out the effect of the trans resveratrol.
